Community;
'body of people living in one place or district or country, fellowship (community of interest), state of being shared or held in common.'
It is impossible to ignore how key our communities are to create positive solutions, especially at times of chaos. Human-kind works much better when connected to each other. Whether you belong to a choir, participate in a sports team, manage an allotment, or play in a band – you share something in common with those you spend time with and that creates the community vibe. Our community in Goring started with two picnic tables in a communal space and lockdown!
Local, ethical produce | Happy planet | Community
The community spirit and desire to make positive changes that benefit our land locally, and the health of its people is evident in Oxfordshire and Berkshire. From local providers of ethical produce, to rural cafes, to educators of growing food organically, to sustainable town initiatives, connecting people through food and food recycling to reduce waste.
I am opening up this space to honour these small businesses in my community who I believe are making a difference. I hope to see new ones added.
“The health of the individual is tied to the health of the land.” Earl Kawa’a (Native Hawaiian)
